New Features in ProStores 10

ProStores 10 is one of our most exciting releases ever, with new features that help online merchants easily enhance their store design, improve efficiency, and increase sales conversion.

In order to ensure we are building features that meet the needs of our merchants, we continue to take into account feedback and input from our customers. In ProStores 10, we’ve addressed key customer needs, made a big leap in the ability to easily customize store design with a new Page Builder, and dramatic improvements in order and catalog management.

And to help merchants maximize sales from every shopper, ProStores 10 gives them sophisticated merchandising and promotions automation, bringing powerful big-retailer tools to growing small and mid-tier merchants.

The most exciting development is our new Page Builder – a new design tool that makes customizing key store pages simpler than ever. Merchants can give their store an updated look and feel, drag and drop panels to revamp page layouts, and create and automatically display graphical banners tied to scheduled store promotions. We’ve also added a new store theme with horizontal category navigation – a popular request from our merchants.

ProStores 10 also includes enhancements that make it easier for merchants to manage their store. Merchants can adjust invoices more efficiently—for example, they can now apply a discount or adjust shipping charges while an order is in process or help a customer add an item after an order is placed. To get optimal performance out of their promotions, merchants can now make their promotions stand out with the Advertising Banners tool. And searching, sorting and viewing orders and categories are much faster than before with enhanced order and catalog management features. Merchants who list on eBay also enjoy greater integration between the two platforms, including improved inventory syncing, bulk product import and deletion of listings, and automatic adjustment of inventory on both platforms for items sold.

Page Builder

The highlight of Page Builder is the simplified customization of key storefront pages. Page Builder is a modular design tool that provides point-and-click selection with drag-and-drop arrangement of page elements. It easily allows merchants to rearrange page layouts using panel-based settings without using SSML or HTML.

On the promotional front, merchants now have the ability to easily highlight store discounts and promotions with on-store Advertising Banners. Merchants can then schedule and tie the banners to scheduled promotions. And finally, we’ve added a new store theme with horizontal category navigation – a popular request from our merchants.

Key benefits of Page Builder

• Simpler and more flexible way to create page layouts with a panel-based design tool for Home, Product List, and Product Detail pages.
• Ability to save and manage multiple layout versions for the Home, Product List, and Product Detail pages.

• Editing
• Add/Remove/Move page elements – or panels – on a page without SSML or HTML coding.
• Easily add panels that contain Rich Text to pages.
• Control product details and elements (In Stock, Quantity Available, Manufacturer, etc.) displayed on a panel by selection rather than SSML coding.
• Easily control pagination style on Product List pages.

• Advertising Panels
• Plan and schedule promotional advertisements in advance for set periods of time.
• Advertisement List panel allows the display of multiple promotions at once – with the ability to display multiple advertising banners at the same time or rotate them in sequence.

New Theme

New Theme offers horizontal category navigation, top-level category searches, plus an updated look and feel for your storefront including rounded and blended borders and colors around and within panels.

Invoice Adjustment & Order Entry

Merchants can now provide better customer service when processing orders with ProStores’ updated Invoice Adjustment and Order Entry feature. They can now instantaneously fulfill customer requests before an order is shipped, saving time, creating greater efficiency, and building stronger customer relationships.

New capabilities

• Change price of a line item.
• Give a discount to an item while order is in process.
• Apply an invoice-level discount.
• Override shipping amount and service.
• Remove an item from an order at customer’s request.
• Reset to last invoice if updates have not yet been saved.

eBay Integration

With enhancements to ProStores’ eBay Integration, merchants gain more control over their inventory and product listings.

New capabilities

• Remove ALL Inbound Listings in a single action.
• Create products from ALL Inbound Listings in a single action.
• Assign a default listing template to a product to be used whenever that item is listed to eBay using QuickList.
• Item Condition will be synchronized as part of Inbound Listings, eliminating the need to manually enter the condition of Used or Refurbished items.
• If you use Selling Manager Pro (SMP), you will no longer have to correct your inventory in SMP. If an item sells on ProStores or eBay, the item will be subtracted, both from ProStores inventory and Selling Manager Pro.

Promotions

With both customized and panel-based store designs, merchants now have the ability to effectively advertise promotions on their storefront by incorporating images and text. You can also build and edit store and product promotions from one central location to display on the storefront.

Order Management

The enhanced Order Management system gives merchants more flexibility and makes it easier than ever to locate an order quickly, to enter and process phone orders, and to revise orders.

New capabilities

• Enhanced search, sort and viewing options for shipped orders
• Easily search order by Last Name; sort by multiple variables (Ship Date, Invoice Number, Billing Name, Ship to Name); and select different batch amounts to view per page—25, 50 or 75.
• Negotiate special conditions with a customer to close a sale and engage in merchandise up-selling over the phone, which is also possible with the enhancements to the Adjust Invoice feature outlined above.

Catalog Management

With greater search, sort and viewing capabilities, the enhanced Category Management feature makes it faster and easier for merchants to manage large catalogs and assign products to categories. Now they can easily add a product to a given category. or advertise a product more effectively by assigning it to a featured category.

• New Product Search options allow for search by Partial name match, Product number, No category assignment, Not listed to eBay, and by Supplier.
• From Product List:
• Sort by Name, Active state, Price and Quantity.
• Assign a category to products in bulk.
• Assign or update a category for a single product.
• Choose number of items to view per page—25, 50 or 75.
• Assign categories from Product Add/Update page.
• Refurbished is an option to select when defining the Condition of the item.
