New Features in ProStores 10.3

ProStores 10.3 introduces new features and enhancements that help merchants stay connected with their customers, get their store set up and launched easily, and drive more traffic. Now more than ever, engaging with customers on social media channels is a essential to a merchant's success – and with ProStores' easy-to-implement Facebook and Twitter widgets on storefronts, merchants can turn their customers into fans and followers of their store. Merchants seeking positive feedback, free advertising and more traffic to their store should display the Like widget on their store. Customers who "Like" a store are essentially recommending to their friends on Facebook to go check it out – exposing the store to potential new fans and customers.

Twitter and Facebook Share widgets

Merchants can enable customers to help drive more traffic to their store by using the Facebook share and Tweet buttons on their web store. When customers click on the Tweet and Share widgets on a product page, the product is posted on their Facebook profile and Twitter feed, allowing their friends and followers to view it. By enabling customers to Share their products, merchants can attract potential new customers to their store.

Merchants can turn their customers into fans by offering Facebook and Twitter widgets on their web store that link to their Facebook and Twitter pages. Twitter and Facebook pages are easy and free to create and both engaging ways to keep customers informed about a merchant's products and promotions. Having Facebook and Twitter pages also offers a platform for merchants to post special offers, sales and new product announcements to help draw traffic to their store.

New Guided Setup

Merchants can easily set up and open their web store and start making sales faster with the help of ProStores' new online Guided Setup. The Guided Setup walks merchants through key steps in getting their store up and running quickly. Get guidance and tips as well as detailed how-to video tutorials. The guide will also take merchants to particular steps within Store Administration to execute the steps they viewed demos of in the guide. For merchants who are already up and running will find the how-to videos valuable in enhancing the functionality of their store. These videos can also be found in our Learning Center.

Wish List Enhancements

Customers can now see their recently viewed items when they search through someone's Wish List items – creating a great up-sell opportunity for merchants. Recently viewed items functionality can also be applied to other pages on a store using custom SSML code.

UPS Enhancements

ProStores' UPS integration has been updated to map to current UPS services.

  • High Value Reports will be created for merchants, on order value of $1000 or more, to print and get signed by a UPS representative during pickup. A signed High Value Report is needed to file a claim
  • "UPS Saver" option for international delivery method has been replaced with "UPS Worldwide Saver"
  • "Occasional Pickup" option as Account Type has been replaced with "Standard Rate List"
  • "Negotiated Rates" option has been moved up in the UPS Configuration table

ShipRush Integration

ShipRush, an award-winning, shipping tool for ecommerce sellers, is now integrated with ProStores. ShipRush downloads orders from ProStores so there's no need to manually enter address information when printing shipping labels. Merchants also have the ability to manage multiple stores and channels directly from ShipRush. Merchants can print USPS delivery confirmation labels without postage using ShipRush USPS or labels with postage using ShipRush USPS powered by Endicia for $39.95 a month. ShipRush also supports FedEx shippers and will link with your existing FedEx account. After processing shipments and getting your labels, ShipRush automatically updates the orders as shipped and includes the tracking number. ShipRush is available free to FedEx and USPS shippers.

Source Code Editor re-enabled for Home page, Product List, and Product Detail pages

To give merchants more control over customizing their store design, we've put the Source Editor back into the Page Template Manager for the Home Page, Product List Page and the Product Detail Page. Now merchants can customize key pages on their web store using either the Page Builder design tool or the Source Code Editor.

Product Catalog Feed File Enhancements

Merchants can access and generate a feed file of their products on a daily basis and easily push that product catalog to shopping comparison sites to draw traffic to their store.

Store Administration Navigation Enhancements

  • Merchants are able to Sort by OEM/SKU in Product List so that their even better able to manage their store inventory
  • A Cancel Invoice link has been added to the invoice page so that merchants can conveniently cancel a pending order from the Invoice page.

eBay Integration – Item Specifics

When merchants define Item Specifics, otherwise known as Recommended Item Specifics on eBay, for their store listings, they will be able to continue to list to eBay where Item Specifics are becoming a requirement certain categories. Item Specifics can also help merchants' listings surface more readily in buyer search results on eBay and are more likely to be indexed for titles and description searches in the future.

To ensure successful listings to eBay, merchants can simply enable Item Specifics within Store Administration on ProStores, showing them exactly which categories require Item Specifics.

Go to Store Administration: Product > eBay > Outbound Listings > Templates and click the Create New Template button.

eBay Integration – Synchronization

  • ProStores no longer automatically creates products on a merchant’s store when the merchant uses Second Chance Offers on eBay. Second Chance Offers will be placed in the holding queue until merchant assigns them as new products on their store.
  • Merchants can now synchronize the pricing on variables on eBay listings with ProStores product attribute-based pricing.
